The Association des Perceurs Europeens is committed to achieving lasting improvements in the growing industry of body-piercing by promoting “Ethical and hygiene practices in the art of piercing, education and risks assessment”.

We are the interface between the practitioners and the government to ensure that Piercing is recognised as a profession with rights and obligations.

There is a need for a medical authority to check that there is compliance with the relevant standards of hygiene. It is essential to make practitioners liable and responsible for consequences and risks of body modifications.

Keeping public health in mind it becomes essential to make compulsory for the people receiving benefits of these services preliminary medical information on the consequences and the risks of practices of body modifications.
